Getting your new piece of equipment noticed!

Salon Source from Salonology

How to get noticed when you have a new piece of equipment in your salon…

I know the feeling only too well.

You read about or see a shiny new piece of equipment that does incredible things, that can generate you a fortune, and you’ve practically written the cheque before you’ve even heard the sales pitch.

It’s SO exciting, isn’t it?

The numbers look amazing – IF you can get the bookings.

But then you get the fear.

Will it get results?

Will people book?

Will I be able to afford it?

And these are all extremely important questions to consider.

But, for the most part, the answer lies within you and your own ability
There is no doubt that there is some incredible equipment available to us as beauty professionals and the right machine can create a substantial and profitable income.

But ONLY if you can get people to book in for it.

An expensive machine sat in a corner will generate nothing but a headache.
It doesn’t matter how amazing the machine is unless you tell people and show people. Master the art of sharing, and you’ll do extremely well.

So, lets look at some simple, yet effective ways to kickstart your new machine in your salon…

BE TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH IT

Initially, your passion will sell your services, so you have to be passionate about the machine.

You have to wholeheartedly believe in its ability to create the results your clients can only dream of, or you’ll simply never sell it.

Ideally you need to use it, love it and have gained results from it too.

Imagine going to buy a new car off an Audi salesman, only to see him drive home in his BMW – would you believe he really thought Audis were the best? Probably not.

Get familiar with the machine, its results and its ability and your passion will shine through.

TELL EVERYONE

You want to build excitement before you’ve even purchased the machine. You want a full diary, a waitlist and a queue round the corner.

But this only happens if people know.

I’m not talking about one Facebook post.

I’m talking about blogs, pictures, campaigns, posts, reels, videos, before and afters and more.

Email your lists, call your best clients, and share your exciting news!

LAUNCH NIGHTS AND OPEN DAYS

Ultimately getting a small group of interested clients into a space where they can try or demo the machine, see results and ask questions, is just about one of the most powerful things you can do to market a machine.
Invite a select group of clients, tempt them with something nice to eat and drink, tell them what you are demonstrating, create a unique offer for them and get them as excited as you are.

MAKE A LIST OF ‘who, what, why, when, where, how’

Understanding why your clients need this machine is your foundation to your marketing message.

WHO will benefit?

WHAT problems will it solve?

WHY do they absolutely need it?

WHEN will it solve them by?

WHERE does it work?

HOW does it work?

Work these out and you’ll get the basis of your marketing.
