On the 15th of August we can celebrate Relaxation Day!
Relaxation day is all about winding down and taking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This is definitely something you can do for your clients within your beauty business.
There are many ways you can incorporate this –
Soothing Music:
Play soft, soothing, calming music in your reception area and your treatment room.
Refreshments:
You can offer your clients herbal teas designed for relaxation:
Chamomile – Chamomile tea can help to reduce stress and aid relaxation, it’s known for its gentle and soothing properties.
Lavender – Lavender tea has a delightful floral aroma and is often used to promote relaxation.
Ginger – Ginger tea can provide warmth and comfort, making it a great option for relaxation.
Rose Tea – Made from rose petals, this tea has a delicate and soothing flavour, often associated with relaxation.
Silent Zone:
Do you have an area within your salon that you could create a silent zone? A designated area where clients can disconnect from the world and devices to enjoy a peaceful environment. Alternatively you could offer silent treatments, they can enjoy their treatment – in peaceful silence.
Foot Rituals:
Could you offer a foot soak, or warm towel foot wraps before a treatment, to help your client really unwind?
Scalp Massage:
Incorporating a scalp massage to any treatment will relax your client. It will help to release tension and reduce stress.
Aromas:
Be sure that your working space smells relaxing. There are so many candles and oil burners out there that can create a relaxing environment for both you and your clients! Choose scents like lavender, chamomile, vanilla, jasmine, rose and patchouli.
Guided Meditation:
If this is something you offer it would be great to do! A short guided meditation session either before or after the appointment.
Packages:
You could use all the above ideas and create a relaxation package to include: A foot ritual to start, scalp massage, aromatherapy massage, guided meditation with a relaxing herbal tea.
Relaxation day isn’t just about your clients though, it needs to be about you and your staff too! Can your staff finish a little earlier to have some ‘selfcare time.’ Or maybe they can book in at some point over the upcoming weeks for a relaxing treatment. And what about you? Take this opportunity to indulge in activities that help you destress and rejuvenate, whether it’s taking a long walk, having a bath, reading a book or simply lounging around. It’s so important to take some time to take care of yourself so you can continue providing a top-notch service to your clients.
